Privacy Policy

DoseBell stores medication names, schedules, dose actions, refill counts, alarm-delivery receipts, settings, and optional label photos locally on your Android device. DoseBell does not require an account and does not send this information to a DoseBell server.

Permissions and on-device processing

The camera permission is used only when you choose to scan a medication label. Text recognition runs on the device. The captured image is stored in DoseBell's private app storage so you can keep the source reference. Notification, alarm, and full-screen permissions are used to deliver the medication reminders you create.

Analytics, advertising, and backup

DoseBell contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. Automatic Android cloud backup is disabled. Uninstalling DoseBell removes its private app data according to Android behavior.

Google Play purchases

When you buy or restore Care Pack, Google Play processes the transaction and returns product and purchase status to DoseBell. DoseBell does not receive payment-card details, and no medication data is included in the billing request.

Exports and encrypted backups

CSV and PDF exports and encrypted backups are created only when you request them and are written to a location you choose. Encrypted backups use a password you supply. Anyone with an unencrypted export, or with both a backup and its password, may be able to read its contents.

Deleting data

DoseBell has no account or server copy of medication data. You can delete local data through Android Settings by clearing DoseBell's app storage, or by uninstalling the app. Exported CSV, PDF, and backup files must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.
